From Everywhere, Lebanon

A Global Artistic Movement by the Lebanese Diaspora

It travels through people.

Across the world, millions of Lebanese in the diaspora are watching their country wounded from afar. Distance does not create detachment. It creates another kind of proximity, one filled with tension, fragmentation, and unresolved emotion.

Living far away does not mean being untouched. We carry grief, anger, isolation, helplessness, and a deep sense of injustice. There is a constant dissonance between where we are and what is happening back home. We wake up in cities at peace, surrounded by normalcy, while our thoughts remain anchored elsewhere, in a place that feels both distant and painfully close.

THE WAR IN LEBANON DOES NOT STOP AT ITS BORDERS.

When Distance Becomes Another Form of Exposure

Distance does not shield us from violence. The war seeps into our most intimate spaces, our routines, our conversations, our relationships, our inner worlds. It reshapes how we move through daily life, our relationships, our inner worlds. It reshapes how we move through daily life, creating an invisible weight that is difficult to explain, yet impossible to ignore.

From Everywhere, Lebanon is a global artistic movement initiated by the Lebanese diaspora. It is an invitation to transform this complex, often invisible experience into something tangible.

Because art can witness.

Because art can resist.

Because art can make visible what is too often overlooked.

How to participate : Create an artwork that expresses how you experience the war from abroad. Then share it on Instagram using the hashtag #FromEverywhereLebanon. A selection of artworks will be reposted each week to highlight and amplify these voices.

Taking Space, Together.

Lebanese voices are too often unheard, misrepresented or reduced. This project is about reclaiming space, about occupying the digital world with narratives that are raw, personal, and impossible to ignore. From everywhere in the world, Lebanon is still present. Through us. Through what we create. Through what we refuse to silence.
